He is an American director and screenwriter, born on June 15, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois. He studied theater at the University of Southern California and was a dancer earlier, after which he turned to writing and then directing. He's known for Hitch (2005), The Bounty Hunter (2010), and Ever After: A Cinderella Story (1998).
