He is a singer actor and composer, whose most dominant quality was his choice of lyrics. He sang many songs for very famous Arabic poets especially the women’s number one Arabic poet, the late Syrian Nizar Quabani, and Karim El Iraqi and many more from the Arab world. Kazem tailors the music he composes to fit the poetic lyrics of the poem he chooses. Many success were achieved by doing this especially his songs with Nizar called Make Me Love You More, The School of Love and Bare Feet. Kazem also tried singing in many dialects especially his mother tongue, the Iraqi dialect. There were also some attempts to sing in Egyptian and also using the gulf dialect. He is usually composing for himself with the exception of very few songs. In 1993 he acted in an Iraqi movie called The Traveler which was more or less a collection of most of his songs. In 2006 he participated in his first theatrical experience making the play Voices That Shook the World.
