An Indian writer, director and producer born on May 13, 1953 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He is known for Astitva (2000), Kaante (2002), and Slumdog Millionaire (2008). He is the father of the actors Ashwami Manjrekar and Satya Manjrekar.
