Mona Abu El-Nasr was an Egyptian animation director. She was born in 1952 in Alexandria. She received a bachelor's degree in fine arts from Helwan University in 1975, and a Ph.D in animation from the University of California in 1988. Her breakthrough as an animator came in 1998 with the first episodes of the animated television series "Bakkar", which she directed. Her other notable work includes "The Sindbad's Journey" and "Super Heneidy". She died of cancer in 2003.
