An American screenwriter, born in New York, USA. He graduated from the University of California. He studied creative writing before working as a journalist in New York, and then worked as a screenwriter. He collaborated with director Martin Scorsese in the movie Cape Fear in 1991. Among his other credits are Wolf (1994) and Glass House: The Good Mother (2006).
