Syrian poet and writer born on 9 July 1942. He earned a degree in philosophy and sociology from the University of Damascus. He worked for the Syrian TV and Radio from 1964 till 2002. He won several awards for writing and TV producing, including best screenplay for "Syrian Attributes". He's known for the series Arab Icons.
