A Syrian singer and actress, born in Latakia. She began her career in 1977 in a Lebanese variety program entitled Between Twenty and Forty, produced by director Simon Asmar. She performed many songs in the 1980s and 1990s, the most prominent of which were "Sareh", "Mabtesaalshi", and "Zahi Qamarna". She broke into the field of acting in 1983 by appearing in the movie Love's Revenge. Her other credits include House of the Poisoned Family (1986) and Days of Laughter and Tears (1998).
