Yara Shahidi began her acting career at a young age. She made her stage debut on June 12, 2009, co-starring in a play with Eddie Murphy. Yara was born and raised for the first 4 years of her life in Minneapolis, before her family moved to California due to her father's job. Her notable work includes the movies Salt (2010) and Smallfoot (2018), and the series Black-ish.
