A Bahraini writer, who is considered one of the pioneers of culture and literature in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He is also one of the first playwrights who influenced the theatrical movement and had great contributions. In 1969, he wrote his first integrated play in the colloquial dialect 'House of Good Reputation' followed by 'Seven Nights'. His writing was not limited to theater only, but he wrote works for Bahrain Radio, the last of which was the famous series 'Salama and Faraj' in 1975. He also composed many lyrical texts, and contributed to preserving the heritage of folk singing. He was elected for three terms to head the Bahrain Society for Music and Folklore. He passed away on July 15, 2020.
