A Yemeni media personality and actress, she was known as a well-known TV face through her appearances on "Aden TV" on social programs two decades ago. Recently, she appeared as a presenter of news in both Arabic and French. Jamila studied law at the Faculty of Law at the University of Jordan, but she became involved in the media. She was influenced by her mother, the announcer Adela Ibrahim, while her father was one of the founders of the Institute of Fine Arts in Aden, the musician Jamil Ghanem. She died on Saturday, December 5, 2015 in the capital, Sana'a, of a heart attack.
