Michael Palin is a British actor and screenwriter. He was born in 1943 in Sheffield, England. His interest in acting began at the age of five when he participated in the theater group in his school, then he studied history at Oxford University and maintained his hobby of acting and writing during his studies. He debuted as a writer in 1966 through the TV Series The Late Show, then he co-starred in the 1967 series A Series of Bird's. He won the British BAFTA Award as the Best Supporting Actor in 1989 for the movie A Fish Called Wanda, and received the same award twice in 2005 and 2013.
