John Mahoney was born during the British War, he was the seventh of eight children. Since his childhood, dreamed of acting, he started acting at the age of 40. Mahoney taught English at Western Illinois University in the early 1970s, worked as a former editor of Middle Medicine, and left his job to study acting in Chicago. He is best known for his role as Martin Crane in the famous sitcom Frasier (1993-2004). John appeared in several films, including: The American President (1995), Primal Fear (1996) and Antz (1998).
