A Cuban-American actor born on April 12, 1956 in Havana, Cuba to an English language teacher mother and a lawyer father. At the age of five, his family moved to Miami, Florida, where Garcia was raised to be a Catholic. In his last year of high school he had mononucleosis, which made him stop playing basketball. Andy Garcia made his film debut in 1983 in the baseball film Blue Skies Again. Among his works: Ocean's Thirteen (2007), Wrath of Man (2021), Ocean's Eleven (2001) and Geostorm (2017).
