An Iraqi writer, born in Al Diwaniyah. He obtained a Diploma of Fine Arts from the Department of Theater Directing. He became a member of the Artists Syndicate, the Writers’ Union, the Media Center, the Union of Arab Writers, and the Union of Arab Cinema Artists. He wrote the play The Bleeding Mummy, which won the Grand Creativity Award at the Emirates Competition, Sharjah, in 2000, the play Zenobia, which was presented in the Damascus Castle in 2005, and the play Checkmate (1996), among others. He is known for the series Lunatics' Nest (2010) and The Second Flood (2013), and the movie Taimour.
