A Jordanian director and photographer, born in 1969 in Zarqa, Jordan. He studied cinematic arts at Yarmouk University in Jordan. At the age of 18, he immigrated to Europe to work in the film industry in several countries, including Germany, Italy, and Romania. He directed about 12 short films, the most notable of which was his famous feature film, Al-Shater Hassan, which won several awards and was nominated for screening at the Cannes Festival. By 2002, he directed several films, including Human Nature, Sufism, and The Wall.
