An American director, born in Cincinnati, on March 9, 1911. He got married to Florence Louise Heard, and they had three children. His most famous works include: Dumbo in 1941, Lady and the Tramp in 1955, The Rescuers in 1977, and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh in 1977. He died of cardiac arrest during a surgery in Los Angeles, on February 13, 1976, at the age of 65.
