An American writer and producer, born on July 26, 1957 in Burlingame, California. He graduated from the College of Toronto with degrees in political theory and English, then received a master's degree in political theory. He also got a Master of Fine Arts degree at the University of British Columbia, where he worked as an associate professor. He is the creator of the Fox TV series Bones, and The Finder, before which he was the executive producer of the television series, Judging Amy, then Joan of Arcadia.
