She is an American actress who was born on November 10, 1969 in Everett, Massachusetts. She started acting in small roles in some TV series, such as Law & Order. She made her major studio screen debut in Brad Silberling's Moonlight Mile (2002), which was a turning point in her career. She's best known as Dr. Meredith Grey in the medical drama Grey's Anatomy (2005). Her other acting credits include Old School (2003), and Daredevil (2003).
