Gary Alan Sinise is an American actor who was born on March 17, 1955 in Blue Island, Illinois. After graduating from high school, he founded the Steppenwolf Theatre Company in 1974 with his friends. He is known for Mice and Men (1992), Forrest Gump (1994), and Ransom (1996). He has won various awards, including a Primetime Emmy Award, a Golden Globe Award and was nominated for an Academy Award.
