An American actor, director and producer born Thomas Mark Harmon on September 2, 1951 in Burbank, California. The son of football player Tom Harmon and actress Elyse Knox. He played college football and graduated from UCLA in 1974 with a degree in communications. He became known for playing Leroy Jethro Gibbs in the TV series NCIS (2003). His other notable works include Chasing Liberty (2004), Weather Girl (2009), and Freaky Friday (2003).
