He was born in Hollywood, California in 1971. The brother of six to a father who was an electrical engineer and a mother who was a chief orthopedic nurse. He attended Northwestern University Illinois to study theater while in high school, and acted in many plays on the school stage. After graduation, he was trained by an acting teacher (Larry Moss) while living in a small apartment in Hollywood. His debut was in the television business and he also participated in the movie Crooked Hearts in 1991.
