He is an American actor, born on February 9, 1943 in Newark. Joe Pesci appeared in several plays in New York at the age of five. He made his first movie, The Death Collector alongside Frank Vincent in 1976. In 1980, he was offered the role of Joey in the movie Raging Bull, starring Robert De Niro, which earned him an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor. He's best known for Goodfellas (1990), for which he won an Oscar for Best Actor in a Supporting Role.
