A Canadian actress of Irish descent, born on March 4, 1954 in Toronto, Canada. She became known as one of the original cast members on the Canadian television sketch comedy show SCTV (1976). She then appeared in numerous films and series, such as Home Alone,Temple Grandin, Beetlejuice, and Schitt's Creek. Among her accolades are an Emmy Award, a Genie Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award.
