An Iranian director, producer, and screenwriter, born in 1954 in Zanjan. He graduated from the Faculty of Cinema and Theater at the University of Art. Among his films are 33 Days and The Secret Club. He also served as an assistant director on such works as The Violet Diamond. As a screenwriter, he worked on The Epic of Majnun, The Kirkuk Operation, and The Tenth Night, in which he also served as a producer. He received a number of nominations and awards, including winning the Crystal Simorgh for Best Film for the movie The Epic of Majnun at the 12th Fajr Film Festival in 1994.
