An American writer and producer, born on November 29, 1954 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Among his most notable films are Fargo (1996), A Serious Man (2009), Inside Llewyn Davis (2013), and The Ballad of Buster Scruggs (2018). He won 4 Oscars; in 1997 the Best Original Screenplay for Fargo, and in 2008 the Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Picture Awards for No Country for Old Men. His film, Inside Llewyn Davis, won the Grand Prix at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival.
