An American actor, producer, and director, born on September 16, 1927, in New York. He graduated from Ossining High School. He began his career by appearing in several productions, including the series Robert Montgomery Presents (1957). His notable work includes Columbo (1971), Murder by Death (1976), The Princess Bride (1987), and Undisputed (2002). He died on June 23 2011 in Beverly Hills, California.
