Marc J. Francis is a British documentary film director, producer, and cinematographer, born on December 4, 1975. Marc attended the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom, where he studied Mandarin, and later lived in China and had an interest in learning about Chinese cinema during the economic boom of the mid-1990s. Marc's early directorial work include Black Gold (2006), premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, while his directorial work include a documentary about Elizabeth Gilbert.
