He is an American director, writer, and actor, born in Shirley, New York on Long Island, United States in 1966. He graduated from William Floyd High School in Mastic Beach, New York. He received a bachelor's degree in Film from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in 1988. He is best known for his collaboration with Adam Sandler on a number of films such as The Wedding Singer, and The Water boy in 1998. His other directing credits include Around the World in 80 Days (2004), Zookeeper (2011), and Click (2006) - which won the 2007 People's Choice Award for Favorite Movie Comedy.
