Born in Chester, England, Gabriel Range studied medicine and journalism. He co-wrote and directed the documentary The Day Britain Stopped in 2003, and presented feature films, such as Death of a President and I Am Slave. He won several awards for the movie Death of a President through the Brussels and Toronto Film Festivals.
