American author who was born on February 21, 1962 in Pasco, Washington. He graduated from the University of Oregon School of Journalism in 1986 and worked as a journalist, among other jobs. He went on to write fiction while attending writing workshops. He's best known for Fight Club (1999), and Choke (2008), which were based on his novels.
