American screenwriter and producer born on March 22, 1945 in New York City. He attended the University of California, and UCLA Film School. His writing credits include: The Insider (1999), Munich (2005), and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008). He won an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for Forrest Gump (1994).
