An award-winning Texas screenwriter, poet, playwright, and editor. He grew up in Dripping Springs, Texas. He attended the University of North Texas and earned a bachelor's degree in theater, after which he decided to pursue his artistic activity in New York City. He wrote the screenplay for Red Ridge, which won the Grand Jury Prize in New York Independent Film Festival. Jay has also directed short films, music videos, educational films, and commercials.
