An Egyptian folk singer, his real name is Mohamed Ramadan Sayed Ahmed El-Batawy, he was born in the village of Darin, Talkha- Dakahlia Governorate in 1919. He worked in the military theater inside and outside Egypt, and in the popular theater with Zakaria El Hajjawi, where he was assigned to bring in a number of the most prominent folk artists from different parts of Egypt, including Khadra Mohamed Khedr, Gamalat Shiha, and Ahmed Simsim. He's known for The Escape (1969), and The Great Artist (1945). He died in 1988.
