The “Bond Years”, 1995 to 2004, was an important stretch in Brosnan’s career in which he assumed the role of James Bond in the (Bond film franchise). It was reported that even before Pierce Brosnan first assumed the role, he was (nominated) for it by various people. Whilst partaking in “Remington Steele” in the 1980s, The Washington Post published an opinion that suggested him as an excellent candidate for the role of James Bond. More importantly, the James Bond films producer Albert R. Brocolli expressed interest in hiring Pierce Brosnan for the role following the end of Roger Moore’s stint in (the franchise). Following Timothy Dalton’s stint as James Bond, Pierce Brosnan was announced as the next James Bond in 1994. Brosnan’s first appearance in that role was in “GoldenEye” which was widely praised by critics. Thereafter he would continue his role as James Bond in “Tomorrow Never Dies”, “The World Is Not Enough” and “Die Another Day” which concluded his career as James Bond.
