An American film director, born on October 11, 1971 in Taipei, Taiwan. He grew up in Orange County, California. He earned a BA in Film and Television from the University of California, Los Angeles. His solo directorial debut was the 2002 crime-drama Better Luck Tomorrow, followed by Annapolis in 2006. He's best known for directing The Fast and the Furious movies (3-6, 9-10) and Star Trek Beyond in 2016.
