American writer, actress, and producer born in Massachusetts. Her writing credits include Sleepless (2017), and World Trade Center (2006). She made her directorial debut in The Kitchen (2019). She was nominated for Oscar for Best Original Screenplay for co-writing Straight Outta Compton (2015).
