Anthony J. Russo is an American director and producer born on February 3, 1970 in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, with a degree in English. Him and his brother, Joe, work together and are known as the Russo Brothers. Their debut was the film Pieces (1997), followed by Welcome to Collinwood (2002). They worked in television for a while then went back to film again by making You, Me, and Dupree (2006). Their most notable work is in the films of Marvel Cinematic Universe, including Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and Avengers: Endgame (2019).


Anthony Russo is an American director, writer and producer. He started, along with his brother, with the film Pieces in 1997. Since then, they went on to form a working duo. After viewing Pieces at a film festival, Steven Soderbergh and George Clooney offered to produce the duo's next movie, which became the caper comedy Welcome to Collinwood, starring William H. Macy, Sam Rockwell, and Clooney. Their next film was also a comedy: You, Me and Dupree, starring Owen Wilson, which was a big box office success. In 2014, they directed the superhero film Captain America: The Winter Soldier. In television, the brothers directed the pilot for Arrested Development, for which they won an Emmy award. They also served as executive producers and directors for the NBC sitcom Community, and the ABC series Happy Endings.
