An American actress who was born in October 5, 1951 in Carrollton, Illinois, and spent the first 10 years of her life moving around the country with her mother and father, who was an FBI agent. After graduating from high school, she moved to New York to study art and design. She also studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Institute. In 1978, she made her cinematic debut in Animal House, after which she gained fame for co-starring in Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981). Her other notable films include Starman (1984), and Scrooged (1988). Karen focused more on stage work and she reprised her role as Marion alongside Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008).
