Simon Hynd is a British writer and director, born on January 20, 1974 in Edinburgh, Scotland. He directed the short film Virus (2002), which was shown in more than 50 international film festivals and won many awards, as well as Tumshie McFadgen's Bid for Ultimate Bliss, which won the BAFTA Scotland Award for Best Short Film. He wrote and directed Senseless (2008), which was nominated for Best British Film at the Raindance Film Festival. He directed the documentary Arts: The Catalyst (2005).
