An American actress who was born on November 19, 1961 in Fairfield, Connecticut. She studied at New York University where she majored in journalism, but she dropped out after three years to start her acting career. She made her acting debut in the movie Rich and Famous (1981). She's known for When Harry Met Sally... (1989), You've Got Mail (1998), Sleepless in Seattle (1993), and City of Angels (1998). She was married to actor Dennis Quaid from 1991 till 2001, and they have a son, Jack Quaid.
