He is an American writer, director, and producer, born on August 6, 1952 in Highland Park, Illinois. He graduated from the University of New Mexico. He started writing in 1977. He is known for The New Leave It to Beaver (1983), The Flintstones (1994), Jingle All the Way (1996), and The Spy Next Door (2010).
