A Tunisian director, born in Tunisia. He studied directing at the École Supérieure de Cinéastes et d'Acteurs in Paris. He worked as an assistant director on many works, such as Man of Ashes (1985), Halfaouine: Boy of the Terraces (1990), and The English Patient (1996). His credits as a director include Late December (2010) and Horra (2015).
