Actor Oliver James Platt was born on January 12, 1960 in Ontario, Canada to an American parents. His father was an ambassador, which made him spend his childhood between Washington, Asia, and the Middle East. He received his BA in Drama in 1983 from Tufts University. He is known for Lake Placid (1999), The Three Musketeers (1993), and 2012 (2009).
