An American actress born on May 12, 1963 in Brooklyn, New York. She received a bachelor's degree in theater and business from Marymount Manhattan College. In 1989, she appeared in The Cosby Show. She's known for Candyman (1992), New Jack City (1991) and Melrose Place (1992–1993). In 2003, she received NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series for Soul Food.
