He is an American director who was born on March 13, 1970 in Los Angeles, California. He graduated from the USC School of Cinematic Arts in 1991 and started his career by directing music videos. His debut came with One of Us Tripped (1997). He is known for Barbershop, Taxi, Fantastic Four, and Think Like a Man.
