An American screenwriter, born in New York, United States, to a father who worked in psychiatry and a mother who was a pianist. He graduated from Iowa State University after obtaining a bachelor’s degree in theater and cinema. Some of his credits include Time After Time (1979) and The Prince of Egypt (1998).
