American novelist and short story writer born on 19 March 1933 in Newark, New Jersey, US. He earned a BA in English from Bucknell University and an MA in English literature from the University of Chicago. His works have been met with huge success and praise and many have been adapted into film and TV, some adaptations include The Human Stain (2003), The Plot Against America (2020), Indignation (2016), and American Pastoral (2016). He died on 22 May 2018 in New York, US.
