She is an American actress, born on April 3, 1972 in Urbana, Illinois. She began to pursue her acting career at age 15, where she started taking acting classes and went to auditions. She made her first acting appearance in the TV series Teen Angel Returns (1989). She's best known as Kelly Taylor in the TV series Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990-2000), after which she appeared in many television films and series, including What I Like About You ((2002-2006), and Secret Santa (2003).
