An American writer, born in Chicago, Illinois, United States. He joined the US 5th Cavalry Regiment in Texas after deciding to leave home as a teenager. He studied at an engineering college and worked as an engineer for several years before turning to writing. His credits include Three Cases of Murder (1954) and Michael Shayne (1960-1961). He died in California, USA.
