An American director and writer, born in Hamburg, West Germany. He studied screenwriting at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg. He attended the directing program of the American Film Institute. His notable works include A Necessary Death (2008), The Last Exorcism (2010), 13 Sins (2014), and Fear the Walking Dead (2017).
